This Privacy Policy explains how Humax Digital ("Humax", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use the Freely mobile app (the "App"). The App is a companion app for the Humax AuraEZ 4K Recorder (model FHR6000T) set-top box, used to browse the TV Guide, manage recordings and stream live TV over your home Wi-Fi network.
We only collect what the App needs to work. This page describes exactly what that is.
Information we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, or photo/media library contents. The App does not contain any third-party advertising or analytics software development kits (SDKs), and we do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To pair the App with your AuraEZ box and let you control it remotely
- To provide the TV Guide, scheduling, and recording-management features
- To provide customer support if you contact us
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data storage and security
Account and schedule data is stored on Humax's servers and protected using industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Communication between the App and your AuraEZ box happens directly over your home network and does not pass through the internet.
Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with a legal obligation.
Delete your account and data
You can permanently delete your Freely account and associated personal data directly from the App:
- Open the Freely app and sign in
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Account?
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
This deletes your account and personal information (email address, pairing/registration data, and viewing activity) from Humax's systems. If you no longer have the App installed and still want to request deletion, contact us using the details in the Contact us section below.
Your rights
If you are located in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have rights under data protection law, including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
